Philip Island test has Brodie ready for 2012
After three days back on the Team Suzuki GSXR-600 Brodie Waters is ready and eager for the 2012 season. Brodie and the Suzuki team had 2 ride days to get everyone refocused on the tar after the summer break. The renowned Philip Island wind and a dirty track meant times were slower than the end of 2011 but Brodie said “my times were good for the first outing on the bike this year”.
The third day of riding was the ASBK factory test day. Brodie and new team mechanic Johnny Wurtz combined to get a good setup enabling Brodie to record his fastest lap of the day. The next lap unfortunately didn’t go to plan, Brodie lost the front end on the entry to turn 12 and rider and bike ended up in different directions. The Suzuki team quickly had Brodie’s second bike ready and he was back on track 15 mins later, back on pace.
Brodie and the Suzuki team will be back testing next week at Philip Island. Brodie will have a new GSXR-600, prepared by Phil Tainton and his team, ready to test in time for round 1 of the ASBK championship, running in conjunction with the WSBK opening round 25th and 26th February.
